Mark graduated with a B.A. from the University of Windsor in 1992 and received a LL.B. from the University of Ottawa in 1995. He was called to the Bar in Ontario in 1997.
Mark is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Canadian Bar Association, the Criminal Lawyers Association, and the Renfrew County Law Association.
Mark is a part-time professor at Algonquin College (Pembroke Campus). He teaches Criminology and the Criminal Code and Statutes courses as part of the Police Foundations Program. Mark is the Chair of the Algonquin College of Renfrew County Capital Campaign.
Mark practices criminal law and has a large defence practice that includes proceedings in the Ontario and Superior Courts as well as Provincial Offences Court and other quasi-criminal administrative tribunals. Mark has experience and knowledge of the military justice system and has appeared in Court Martial Proceedings at C.F.B. Petawawa.
He also practices general civil litigation, construction law and residential real estate.
He is Past President of the Pembroke Boys and Girls Club and regularly participates in other community related events. Mark is the proud father of three boys, Jake, Ben and Patrick.
